Question by itsmitchel: What is faster to obtain, bachelors in Ultrasound or Bachelor science in Nursing?
Considering in nursing you can get your Pre AA in nursing and go straight to working on getting Bachelors. In ultrasound you have to major in the ultrasound program of two years first and then apply to get your bachelors. If i got it right. please help.

Neither is “faster”. Both require a similar set of math and science core courses before you can get into the major. If you don’t already have those core classes under your belt you’re going to have to take them first, and because of this it takes most people longer than just 2 years to finish the AA degree in either discipline. You don’t have to have a bachelor’s degree in either discipline to work in the field. If you complete the A.S. degree and you pass the state licensing exam, then you can work. Note that there is a big difference between the Associates in Arts and the Associates in Science programs that colleges offer when it comes to these programs. The AA programs are specifically tailored for students who plan to stay in college for at least 4 years until they complete the bachelor’s degree. These programs don’t generally include clinicals and do not make you eligible to sit for the state licensing exam. The AS programs are for people who intend to begin working after they have finished a 2-year program. You can continue on to a bachelor’s degree with an AS but you will need to take additional math, composition, etc. courses that are typically included in AA programs but not in AS programs. So, if you want to begin working after completing an associates degree program it is the Associates in Science (AS) degree that you want to do, not the AA.
